Today was the second time that this topic was discussed, this semester. In my opinion, although, technology is a very useful, resourceful and an easily accessible tool, the need for human teachers will never be obsolete. According to Naisbitt's Megatrends, "whenever new technology is introduced into society, there must be a counterbalancing human response." How can you teach technology without a presence of a teacher to show you how to use the new technology effectively and efficiently. People still have to be the constant teaching tool to lead in an ever changing technological society. Without the human aspect of teaching, students may not fully grasp the social acceptance of netiqutte and/or appropriate behavior or use of technology. Teachers also have social capital classroom settings; providing a caring teacher-student relationship where students feel that they are both cared for and expected to succeed (Muller 2001). This in turn motivates the desire to continue to learn as technologies change and expand, which opens the path for further exploration of research through different aspects of technology

I decided to go back to school to pursue my education. YAY!! Unfortunately, I have no idea what I'm doing. This portfolio started as a school project...Yeah! I absolutely NO idea what I'm doing. The teacher seems knowledgeable so I will follow her lead. In the meantime, I will be in prayer that this wonderful tool comes in handy to someone when it's all said and done. Who knows? Maybe, I'll see how much of these tools and resources are incorporated in classrooms when I do my internships. Until then, I hope that some useful information is stored here for both students, teachers and administrators.
